If you are a fan of Quake or similar classic first-person shooter games, then you will also become a fan of Cube. Cube 2 Sauerbraten is the redesigned sequel of the first Cube FPS engine with additional useful features that makes it worth your time.
Instead of fluffing the fame with unnecessary eye candy features, Cube 2 Sauerbraten has opt for a more rational approach wherein map and geometry editing can be done within the game and other functionalities to ensure a fun gameplay and a wonderful engine. Two new player models have been added to this release along with 30 new maps created by users, additional game modes such as Efficiency Hold, Efficiency Protect, Efficiency CTF and more.
Cube 2 Sauerbraten also features a mini map clock, crosshairs and a host of other innovative additions. The code design for the engine that supports this game is completely original.

Cube 2 Sauerbraten is a free multiplayer/singleplayer first person shooter, built as a major redesign of the Cube FPS. Much like the original Cube, the aim of this game is not necessarily to produce the most features & eyecandy possible, but rather to allow map/geometry editing to be done dynamically in-game, to create fun gameplay and an elegant engine. The engine supporting the game is entirely original in code & design, and its code is Open Source (ZLIB license, read the docs for more on how you can use the engine).
